An Inspiring Book for Stay-at-Home Moms...

If you've chosen to stay home for awhile but sometimes feel you've over-compromised your self-worth, personal identity, finances and career, my brand new book called "Staying Home and Staying You:  A Mom's Guide," offers a journey of personalized self-reflection, lifestyle tweaking and slight shift in perception to rid yourself of those mixed feelings for good!  Don't give up on a decision you know in your heart is best for yourself and your family!

Dear Stay-at-Home Mom, I bet staying home with your kids was one of the best decisions you’ve ever made.  I bet you’re adamant about giving them the best start possible and wouldn’t dream of having it any other way.  But do you ever feel your decision to “stay home” was at the expense of yourself? Does the mother in you recognize “staying home” as an invaluable decision you made for yourself and your family but the woman in you wonders where the heck your life went? Well, if this rings true for you, you might be experiencing something called ambivalence.

am/biv/a/lence; the nagging doubt that creeps into your mind now and again and leaves you wondering whether giving up your career, extra money and your self was actually worth staying home with your kids.

It’s a hard feeling to have, that’s because embracing a stay-at-home mom lifestyle today can be a challenge for a number of reasons:

It’s hard not to miss a career you spent years working at or leave one just as it was picking up.

It stinks if your marriage turns into a domestic arrangement resembling something out of the 1950s.

It’s frustrating when you no longer have the kind of money you were accustomed to, AND….

It’s totally (and I mean, totally) depressing when every mirror in your home screams you're  having
 an identity crisis.

But what if I told you, with a little self-reflection, lifestyle tweaking and slight shift in perception, you can completely rid yourself of any ambivalence you’re experiencing and replace it with the happiness, fulfillment, respect and a personal identity you truly deserve….  all while sticking to the important decision you’ve made to stay home?

Well you can!  It's all in a book I wrote called ...

Staying Home and Staying You: A Mom's Guide

In Staying Home and Staying You: A Mom's Guide, you’ll learn how to nurture a personal identity separate from your roles as wife and mother, embrace your role in a way that accurately reflects your decision to stay home as a parenting choice and not a homemaking one, gain financial perspective on your new budget and  plan for your future job or career (ahem…I mean contribution to the world – paid or unpaid).  And the best part is it’s actually a self-discovery guide, full of exercises to make the information presented more personal and relevant to you.

I’ve also decided we need a new job description and title (well somebody had to do it!), one which more accurately emphasizes our role as a parenting choice and not a homemaking one.  It’s time to re-define the stay-at-home mom role in light of today’s feminine identity and purpose, not to mention make the title more dad-friendly, incase he’s the one staying home for awhile.  So, brace yourself for a brand new concept called HOME Parenting!

HOME Parenting stands for Hands On Meaningfully Engaged Parenting and it's an alternative to daycare.
